RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate the cash register, maintain shelf stock and provide prompt, courteous service to the
customer.
DUTIES:
- Operate the cash register by accurately totaling the customer's order (including sales tax). Collecting correct amount of money, issuing correct change and bagging the order if required. Follow policies and procedures concerning alcohol purchases, coupons, discounts refund checks, money orders, food stamps, etc.
- Fill all stock as required, insuring product is properly rotated, priced legibly, shelves are clean, items are double faced and damaged or out-of-date product is removed.
- Provide prompt, courteous service to customers, answering questions and resolving complaints.
- Perform additional duties which can include opening and closing the store, doing paperwork and assisting the manager in the operation of the store.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:
- Cash overages and shortages.
- Voids or other mistakes at the register.
- Shelf Conditions - Double Facing
- Clean shelves and floors.
- Handling a line of customers at the register.
- Handling customer complaints or comments.
